Terms of Service

Last updated 7 September 2026

This document describes how Insight360 handles your firm's and your clients' data, and it has not yet been reviewed by a legal practitioner.

Every statement of fact below is accurate and current. Four things a signed agreement needs are not here yet: liability, warranties, indemnity and governing law. If you need them before committing, ask, and they will be provided in writing.

These terms describe how Insight360 works and what it will and will not do with your firm's and your clients' information. They are written to be read by the accountant using the product rather than by a court.

1. Who this product is for

Insight360 is for accounting firms producing management reports on their clients' finances. It is not bookkeeping software, it does not post journals, it does not prepare tax or statutory accounts, and it does not run payroll, invoicing or inventory.

Your clients do not have accounts. A client sees a report because somebody at your firm published it and sent them the link.

2. Accounts, firms and joining

A firm is created for you rather than by you. There is no self-serve firm creation, deliberately: the first administrator of a firm is set up directly, and everybody else joins by invitation from an administrator of that firm.

An invitation names the role the person will hold when they accept. Until they accept they appear in your firm's people list as invited, and the invitation can be withdrawn.

You are responsible for who you invite and for the role you give them. Roles decide what a person may do with your clients' financial data, and an administrator can change or revoke any of them at any time.

3. Connecting your accounting system

Connecting a client's Xero organisation requires read-only permission. This product never writes to a ledger, and there is no setting, plan or mode in which it does.

Connecting is an instruction you give per client, and disconnecting destroys the stored credentials. What you have built on top of a connection survives it: classifications, headings, layouts and published reports are all kept.

A connection can stop working because your accounting provider withdraws it, expires it or rate-limits it. When that happens the product tells you which of those it was rather than telling you to reconnect, because reconnecting does not fix a rate limit.

4. What the figures mean

Totals, subtotals, gross profit, EBITDA, net profit and every other derived line are recomputed from account balances and their classifications each time they are shown. They are never stored, so a figure on a report cannot drift away from the balances it came from.

Statements are computed from classification codes, not from the names of headings. Renaming a heading changes a label and changes no figure.

A figure sometimes cannot be computed, because a period is missing, a budget is absent or an account is unmapped. In that case the product shows a dash and the reason. It does not show a zero. A zero means the calculation ran and the answer was nought.

Money is handled as whole cents throughout, and converted for display only at the moment it is shown.

5. What remains yours

The classification of an account is a professional judgement and the product will not make it for you. Nothing is classified automatically without somebody at your firm acting.

A report is your firm's work product. Reviewing it before it reaches a client is your responsibility, as it would be for a pack assembled by any other means.

Keeping your own access under control is yours: who is in your firm, what role they hold, and which clients they can see. The product gives you the controls and the record; it does not decide.

6. Publishing and sharing

A published report is fixed at the moment you publish it. Later changes to balances or mapping do not alter something already sent to a client.

A share link grants access by itself: anybody holding it can read that report, without an account. It is unguessable, and it is still a link. Treat it as you would the document.

The on-screen preview, the published report and the PDF are the same thing rendered the same way. What you check is what your client receives.

7. Availability and change

This product is under active development, and features arrive, change and are withdrawn. Where a change would affect figures already published, published reports remain as they were.

Service levels, planned maintenance windows and recovery targets are not committed here. A backup and restore procedure exists and has been rehearsed; the targets a contract would state have not been agreed.

8. What these terms do not yet cover

Fees and payment, term and termination, limitation of liability, warranties, indemnity, dispute resolution and governing law are not stated in this document. They require a legal practitioner and have not been settled.

If you need them before relying on this product for client work, ask for them in writing. Nothing here is intended to limit any right you would otherwise have.
